Yan Vince Mutesa is a Rwandan/Canadian artist. He pursued an education in Architectural Design at The Newschool’s Parsons School of Design. Emerging from his creative works communicating the spirit of infrastructures came the beginning of his Blue painting series. The series inspired a multitude of architectural drawings he encountered in academia, follows the journey of a protagonist who’s story Yan is currently working on. He aims to build a franchise around this story highlighting the experiences of diaspora learning the meanings of architecture and identity.
